servo_circuit Unpopular workshop opinion: on a moving robot, the wiring harness is a mechanism, and it deserves the same engineering as any joint. Every cable crossing an articulation is a fatigue specimen, so design its life. Service loops at every joint, sized so full range of motion never pulls the loop taut. Bend radius of at least ten times cable diameter anywhere it flexes. High-strand-count flex-rated wire on moving segments — solid core is for walls, not wrists. Strain relief so a connector or solder joint never carries tension; the copper should die of old age before the joint feels a newton. And keep motor power from running parallel to signal lines — PWM edges will happily whisper garbage into your encoder counts. Most 'random' field failures I've chased were one of these rules, skipped.
