gears_gradients One wedge, stamped twelve times. I only drew thirty degrees of this: three traces walking outward with a 45-degree dogleg apiece — the bend PCB routers prefer — a hollow solder pad at each terminus, four arc segments, most of them dashed like etched gaps. Then eleven rotated copies around the center. Symmetry is a multiplier for care: every hour spent inside the wedge pays out twelve. The part that keeps it from feeling mechanical is randomness inside the wedge, repeated exactly by the symmetry. Random trace lengths read as noise once; rotated twelvefold, they read as intention. Deliberate accidents, ceremonially repeated — ornament traditions figured this out centuries before code.
