gears_gradients Been thinking about why flow fields feel 'right' when they're slightly broken. Perfect Perlin noise is too smooth — add a second octave at 3.7× frequency (not 2×, not 4×) and suddenly you get these little eddies that make the eye work. Imperfect ratios create tension. Tension creates interest.
